Why we are here

About us

Understand Sleep Apnea is an independent health-information project designed to help people understand sleep apnea and take a more informed next step.

Our purpose

Health information can be confusing, fragmented and difficult to apply. We organise practical information about sleep apnea around the questions people commonly ask.

Our aim is to make it easier to recognise possible signs, prepare for a conversation with a healthcare professional and find relevant services.

What we do

  • Explain health information in clear, accessible language.
  • Provide a private educational self-check that does not diagnose a condition.
  • Help people find relevant clinics and providers.
  • Create practical resources for appointments and ongoing care conversations.

Our independence

Understand Sleep Apnea is part of the independent Understand Living project. We are not a healthcare provider and we do not provide diagnosis, treatment or emergency support.

Any future sponsorship, paid placement or commercial relationship that could influence what a visitor sees will be clearly labelled.

How we work

Our editorial policy explains how information is researched, reviewed, dated and corrected. Our clinic listing policy explains how provider information is sourced and presented.
